Through our work with Ahead of the Class, we have been able to realize steady gains in our Strive HI scores, but more importantly our staff's understanding of standards through the implementation of the Data-Driven Instructional Cycle has deepened. This has been impactful in shaping how our school views school design. Along with several schools in our complex area, we will continue to utilize the services of Ahead of the Class.
Ahead of the Class has been responsive, flexible, and reliable. They lead our faculty in the implementation of the Data-Driven Instructional Cycle. This cycle centers on teachers working together to identify priority standards, understanding the success criteria for student mastery, designing assessments, and improving instructional practices. This process is integral to all of Pearl City High School's goals around instruction and student achievement.
Ahead of the Class has helped us create and sustain a process for teacher collaboration, student voice, and student ownership of their own learning. We are extremely satisfied with the progress we are making and the continued support we receive. Our coaches are ready for assistance at anytime through internet meetings, text messages, and in-person meetings.
